This quartz vault is an open-source collection of information assets comprised of raw materials, organized knowledge, and finished products. I am actively adding to, learning though, and building from it.
I see the curation of this knowledge base as an inductive exercise in building:
- a mirror to hone my own perspective and taste
- a pillar of a public identity
- a information pipeline or personal ‘back-end’ system
- a repository for more fluid expression / sharing and use of ideas
- a dedicated space to centralize learning and clarify thinking
Ideally, each a entry has the attributes of a what I consider to be a strong knowledge asset (not notes for notes’ sake):
- they are high quality principles or units of knowledge to build up from with the potential to generate or catalyze interesting insights and credible points of view
- like citations used in a research paper, or books selected or inclusion in a reference library
- they have been tested / validated / refined in through conversation / engagement / practice / reflection and iteration over time, whenever possible
- like balaji’s newsletter workflow and structure
- they act as an immediately useful accelerant/reminder for the completion a given task, serve to flatten the learning curve on a given topic
- like learning uploads in the matrix
- like learning uploads in the matrix
Building information assets is part of a larger concept I am thinking through around asset-based frameworks for work or labor exchange.
I welcome constructive feedback and conversations. Reach out here.
